JCRP will host ONE drop-off location for the spring event at the Jackson County Expo. We will accept numerous types of plastic, including grocery and dry cleaning bags, cereal and chip bags, to-go containers, lawn furniture, toys, nursery pots, buckets, CD’s and cassettes, agricultural plastics, buckets and much more.
Plastic MUST BE PRE-SORTED into 3 categories: soft plastic, hard plastic and nursery plastic.

Residential cars and pick-ups - $5.00 per household
Businesses and large loads - $5.00 per yard
About the Fee
This fee covers the cost of the event, including the freight fee to transport the plastic to the recycler, and rentals of the event venue. If successful in covering event costs, JCRP will be much more likely to continue the Round-up as an annual, and possibly semi-annual, recycling opportunity. Asking homes and businesses to bear the expense of managing their own waste enables JCRP to offer the event; JCRP does not sell or earn money on the plastic. Also noteworthy: to dispose of the plastic at the Rogue Disposal Transfer Station for landfilling the fee would be a minimum of $17.70, so it is also an opportunity for consumers to save money.

Results of the 2012 event:
The 2012 Jackson County Plastic Round-up was an amazing success! Over 40 tons of plastic were diverted from the landfill in two days! Over 1,200 cars and trucks dropped off plastic generated by their homes, neighbors and businesses.
